These are a very collectable pair of sterling Queen Anne
style salts with spoons in the original box. They were made in
Birmingham, England in 1905. The spoons match very well but have
different hallmarks. One has the hallmark from Chester 1902 and
the other from Sheffield 1911. The salts are guilded inside.
They were originally used to serve salt but could be used for
serving numerous condiments chilli etc. or also
appropriate for serving sweetners in tea or coffee. The quality
and condition are very good. A very original gift for a
collector of antique silver.
The salts and spoons weigh a total 70 gramm.
The sterling salts measure the following:
Height: 1.25 ins. ~ 3 cm.
Top width: 2.5 ins ~ 6 cm.
